Psychoanalytic Treatment Services

The Denver Psychoanalytic Clinic is a referral service that was founded in 1973 to provide psychoanalytic treatment to the community.  It is a valued, integral part of the educational program of the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis.  Its function is to provide evaluation and psychoanalytic treatment to appropriate adults, adolescents, and children at a reduced fee.  The Clinic also serves to inform and educate health professions and the community about psychoanalysis.  All records of the clinic are confidential.

The evaluation of adults is performed free of charge.  However, because of the additional time required to evaluate children and adolescents, a fee of $100 is charged for this service.  Psychoanalysis is conducted by analysts-in-training, experienced psychotherapists who are under the supervision of senior members of the Institute faculty.  Treatment is carried out in the therapist's private office.  Fees for treatment are scaled to the patient's ability to pay.

Any prospective patient may call the Denver Psychoanalytic Clinic at (303) 724-2666.  The current Director of the Psychoanalytic Clinic is Dr. Sheila A. Teitelbaum.
